The Somerset Employment and Skills Group (SESG) is a new partnership led by employers, and supported by local authorities, to lead the employment and skills agenda in the county.
Our aim is to ensure that skills policy enables businesses to thrive and grow, equipping Somerset’s residents with the skills they need for employment. Through our links with employers, training providers, schools and public bodies, including the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership, we will work to make sure the opportunities available meet Somerset’s needs.
The Group currently meets six times a year and is chaired by Peter Livingstone from Battens Solicitors and the Institute of Directors. More information on the Group’s other members is available in the Who’s Who page.
